Graham crackers
Chocolate bars or choice
Jumbo marshmallows (note 2)
Preheat your oven to 425°, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, and assemble the unbaked s’more halves open-faced on the pan (note 3). Bake until the marshmallows are golden on the outside, about 2-4 minutes (note 4), then remove and press the halves together.
Notes:
This recipe is taken from this one by Melissa on Bless This Mess.
Some marshmallows contain gelatin (which is made from animal byproducts like hooves), so check the ingredients list for a fun, guilt-free experience.
If you’ve never made a s’more before, halve your Graham crackers so you have 2 squares. The original recipe just put 1 piece of chocolate on one side and 1 marshmallow on the other, but you can double-decker it like we did in the picture and the bake is the same.
Just like in camping, you don’t want to burn your marshmallow, so it’s a good idea to watch them in your oven through the window, if you have one. If you don’t have an oven door window, consider cracking the door open a little as you bake to keep an eye on your dessert.
